Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) is a kind of synthetic resin made from polyvinyl alcohol and butyral aldehyde by condensation reaction.It can be Soluble in methanol, ethanol, and ketones, aromatic solvent.The PVB has high transparency, good cold resistance, water resistance, film forming properties and impact resistance. widely used in middle film of glass, ceramic flower paper, metal protective paint, tipping paper, aluminum foil, insulation paint, fiber treatment agent,finished parts, printing ink, dyes and so on.

The chemical name is Polyvinyl Butyral Resin, abbreviations as PVB Resin. PVB resin is with high transparency, good light resistance, good cold resistance, water resistance, film forming properties and impact resistance etc. The laminated safety glass is widely used in automobiles, high-rise building, bank counter and all types of bullet proof glass. While with safety properties, PVB film interlayer are also with excellent acoustics, light control, warm keeping ,thermal insulation, and shockproof performance, which is the ideal composite materials for laminated safety glass.
